After securing a national and international medal, tennis player Isabella Yan was named April Athlete of the Month.

Yan started her month in Toronto at the 2026 U18 Fischer Indoor Junior Nationals and claimed gold after securing a 6-3, 6-0 score as a first year U16 athlete. Later, she earned silver at the U16 Billie Jean King Cup Juniors in Montreal.

In addition, Yan’s performance qualified her to represent Canada at the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals this August in Prostejov, Czechia.

Yan was nominated by Tennis Saskatchewan.
