After capturing Canada’s first medal at the Youth Parapan American Games in Chile, Thulir Hector is named October Athlete of the Month. 

Competing in the women’s S8-10 class finished, Hector finished third. The Saskatoon product won her first two preliminary round matches and then went on to win quarterfinals 3-0 before falling 3-1 in the semifinals. 

Hector was nominated by Table Tennis Saskatchewan.
