High Performance Coach Capacity Coach Exemption Request Form

As per the High Performance Coach Capacity grant guidelines, the high performance coach must be National Coach Certification Program (NCCP) Competition Development certified (at a minimum) and have relevant experience coaching high performance athletes and must reside in the province of Saskatchewan.

If your organization would like to request an exemption to the above requirements, a High Performance Coach Capacity Coach Exemption Request Form must be submitted to Sask Sport and approved by the High Performance Committee before the coach is hired.

The exemption request is to be completed by the Provincial Sport Organization in consultation with the high performance coach.

If the request is approved, the High Performance Coach Capacity coach exemption is valid and will remain in effect for a maximum of one year. In order for your organization to remain eligible to receive the High Performance Coach Capacity grant, the high performance coach must complete the NCCP Competition Development certification within the duration of the exemption. Only one exemption is allowed.

Your organization and the high performance coach is required to meet with Sask Sport (Craig Nieuwstad) to discuss an action plan and establish a pathway for the high performance coach to achieve the NCCP Competition Development certification.
