Sask Sport – Futures Program Coordinator

We are hiring for two (2) part-time term Futures Program Coordinator positions. This role is remote within Saskatchewan, with travel required. The successful incumbent must be able to travel within Saskatchewan and attend in-office meetings and activities in Regina and/or Saskatoon on an as-needed basis.
Job Summary
As a Futures Program Coordinator, you would be responsible for working alongside Sask Sport staff to assist with planning, coordination, community engagement, logistics and on-site delivery support. You will work closely with current Sask Sport, Districts and Tribal Council Coordinators (TCCs) to secure facilities, coordinate logistics and promote programming opportunities to prospective Future Stars and Future Leaders participants. This role plays an important part in creating positive experiences and fostering strong community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Administration:
- Support event planning, scheduling and coordination activities.
- Facilitate program communications and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate equipment, materials and other program resources.
Community Engagement:
- Liaise with Sask Sport staff, District Coordinators and TCCs.
- Collaborate with local host partners to support program delivery.
- Identify and coordinate facility and venue requirements.
Event Operations:
- Provide on-site support during program and event delivery.
- Assist with coach and facilitator coordination.
- Conduct program evaluations and prepare reports to support continuous improvement.
- Supervising volunteers during program and event delivery
Legacy Development:
- Support the development and sustainability of future local sport and leadership programming.
Foster relationships that encourage ongoing community participation and engagement.
Qualifications
Education
- Completion of high school diploma.
Experience
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sport and recreation administration or a related field.
- Prior experience working with Indigenous youth, participants, communities and Nations, as well as with culturally diverse populations, would be considered an asset.
Certifications
- First Aid and CPR-C.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of community engagement practices and relationship building with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience in program planning, delivery and program evaluation.
- Ability to engage and interact positively with youth participants.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to evaluate program outcomes and prepare reports.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks and timelines.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic program delivery environment.
- Ability to create and send invoices.
Working Conditions
- Works remotely and in an office as needed.
- May be required to push, pull or lift box up to 30 lbs.
- Must have your own vehicle and the ability to travel as required during the day, evening and weekends.
